• During my school days, I was inclined towards nature and its endless beauty, especially in the form of drawing and painting.  I used to visit the public library that’s present within my school campus and read books on nature, drawing and painting and children’s stories. Started with meaningless sketches on the back of my books and torn white papers, my father identified my new-found mania and bought me some drawing sheets, watercolors, sketch pens and a few painting brushes.  What next started was a new beginning of serious practice that gradually culminated into a passionate hobby.  A year or two later, I won a prize for my school and several accolades from my teachers, parents and friends alike and realized that this love for arts would continue for years to come.

Fast forward, having completed my Inter and spending myself on some odd jobs, I rekindled my dream of becoming an artist by pursuing a degree in BFA, but unfortunately it never surfaced as I was then not in a position to afford to study my dream course. But I thought there’s no end to learning skills, so I joined a private arts tutorial and refined my skills and passed several  lower & higher certificates in still life painting, free-hand drawing, perspective drawing and more.

This was not the end, but the opposite of it – the beginning.  On the contrary, I was not serious about taking drawing & painting (tech term designing) as a profession for life because there was little exposure of art in my town. Lucky enough, I got a job as writer in a newly-started software company in my town back in 2001. Two years later, I was a Technical Writer, but my old passion for painting was not going to die down instead the exposure to computer had increased my passion more so I kept on learning what’s called as “graphic designing” on my home computer .  One fine day I told my company that I’d want to pitch my career as a Designer and they immediately accepted it.

I was a Designer. This was the beginning.

Years of hard-work in designing websites, logos, WordPress themes, graphics and more and a stoop to learn new things, I get to know more and more that there’s still more to learn and share.

    The Birth of DreamView Studios

I was enchanted by the freelancing career option because of the freedom it offers and the flexibility of work as well as the sense of being on your own. Although I am not a full-time freelancer still now and works for the company, I started myself off on a part-time or a free-time-home-based career by taking up small design projects.  This was when I founded DreamView Studios to showcase my works, my ability and credibility as a graphic designer.

At DreamView Studios, I focus on providing graphic design services in the areas of website, WordPress, logos, and graphic design to startup to small & mid-size businesses across the globe.

    Pixelactic, from my heart

Pixelactic is the “blog of my heart”.  Ever since I got its domain name and hosting registered, I had been waiting on it to see its daylight. It sat back in the backyard months together as I had a busy schedule.  But I thought if I didn’t work on it would never see the daylight. So I pulled out some time from my busy schedule and worked on its design stuff and got the coding done by one of my colleagues, Rohini Prasad.

I drew the name Pixelactic as a combination of Pixel  + Galactic. Galactic = of or relating to galaxy, inconceivably large. When a piece of work contains countless pixels, can you image how many pixels does a galaxy contain?  It best can be said INFINITE.  So I guess, inspiration and creativity is endless like a galaxy.

The main intention behind Pixelactic is to share my experiences, my works and to provide collection of useful resources on the web to the design community and to inspire and get inspired. With this blog, I also provide my design services.

    My Experience
