Logos reflect your business or personal identity. There are different types of fonts that can help set the mood of a logo and thereby create an impression of the entity’s nature of business much like the logo shapes or symbols. Agreeably, there are several great logos that are exclusively based on fonts (without shapes or symbols) and I’m sure you’ll definitely find several logos using italic or cursive style.
Below is a collection of over 30 beautiful logos that I have picked up from various logo resources based on their italic / cursive font style. These logos are driven by their cursive or italics typography, as well as suitable artworks or shapes using appropriate palette of colors representing their business nature in the best possible way. Go through the logos and notice the fonts selection, colors and shapes keeping in mind the nature of business the logo represents. I hope you’ll learn more on using the italic & cursive fonts and can try them out on your next logo design project.

You must be joking with this golf shake logo. looks like template from ecommerce software

I hope you’d have clicked to see the golf logo from http://www.logotwo.com/sports/golfshake (source) and the actual website that has the logo is http://www.golfshake.com/. It depends on the logo designer that created this logo whether it is a custom or a template logo, but the topic here is the showcase of logos with cursive / italic fonts. Thanks for your understanding.:)

No offence, Rafi – what I meant is that this logo looks quite weak, especially in comparison to some other logos shown in this post. Thats all.

This might have been better if the focus was on the cursive, and if they were primarily logotypes. Some of these logos – especially many using italics – are not dependent at all on the use of an italic – the text is merely ‘pinned on’ to the art, hence can be ‘pulled apart’ easily.
And seriously, Shopify? better to take some screen grabs of type specimen sheets, which are often more dramatic. -
@Bruce Colhart: Thank you for you nice comment. If we look in general, there’s a relationship between “italic” and “cursive” fonts in the sense that the letters are slant or lie obliquely. The difference, however, lies especially with the cursive font that they have successive letters joined together or a handwritten script whether slant or regular. In this collection of logos, there are both italics and cursive fonts although there are tons of logos using the aforesaid nature of fonts. It’s just all a showcase of some hand-picked nice and good looking logos especially using italic / cursive fonts. Thanks again.

Thanks for the inclusion of the golfshake logo.
@tom definitely not a template driven logo but was developed 2 and half years ago, so maybe in need of a refresh
